What this does
The POSH module helps you meet the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013: publish the prevention policy, assign and track training and certificates, constitute the Internal Committee (ICC) that handles complaints, and generate the mandatory annual report (§21).
Click to enlargeWho can do it
- Set up & constitute the ICC: an HR admin (
company_adminorhr_manager). - ICC members: employees you assign the
icc_memberrole; they handle complaints. The complaints surface is confidential and DPDP-sensitive — it is never exposed over the API. - Training: every employee completes it and earns a certificate.
Steps
- Open the POSH module and publish your policy so employees can read and acknowledge it.
- Constitute the ICC. Add members and designate the Presiding Officer. WorkRight enforces the §4 composition rules — a valid committee needs at least the minimum members, a majority of women, a woman Presiding Officer, and an external memberfrom an NGO or familiar with POSH issues. The committee won't validate until composition is correct.
- Assign training to employees (individually or by bulk import). Completion issues a certificate, and reminders chase anyone outstanding.
- At year end, generate the §21 annual report as a PDF for submission to the District Officer.
What happens next
With the ICC constituted, employees have a confidential channel to raise complaints, and the committee can record and progress an inquiry within the statutory timelines (the inquiry must complete within 90 days; WorkRight tracks and reminds on the deadline). Training status, certificates and the annual report give you an audit-ready compliance trail.
